This blog describes how sharing publicly immutable audit trails and verifying image and document provenance & authenticity is easy using Instaproof and the DataTrails API

To share an immutable audit trail, you can do this with a link or a QR code that is automatically created when provenance and authenticity metadata is recorded in your DataTrails account.

Anyone can use Instaproof or the DataTrails API to verify the authenticity, provenance and audit trails of public images.

Go to the DataTrails Instaproof page, www.instaproof.io, and drag and drop the image/file on to the drop zone.

A hash of the image is calculated, and a green box or red box will appear indicating the presence or not of a data trail as well as links to all the provenance and authenticity metadata that prove who did what when.

To use the DataTrails API, we’ve created a Postman collection that documents the Instaproof public commands.
